The Goth Challenge! Day 10: Hate/Love

Day 10 – What do you hate and love about the subculture?

I hate intolerance. I just don´t understand how can somebody just hurt someone other just because he looks different. I just don´t understand it, and I never won´t.
I hate it when someone can´t differ between goth and emo (or even goth and scene...)...
I hate that goth is mostly misunderstood in the public, and that many people think, that goths are depressive, satanistic and hate everything and everyone including themselves.
And I hate the poseurs.

I love the music...most of the goth and related genres.
And of course I love the fashion and simply all the aesthetic.
I love the inspiration that goth gives me and I love the kind of "dark" romance that is breathing from it.
And...I just love everything about it. :D

The Goth Challenge! Days 8 and 9

Day 8 – What's your worst and best experience with non-Goths?

I don´t really have some worst or best experiences. The bad ones are just bad. If someone makes fun of you, calling you an emo, freak or so...Or when someone speaks to you like you´re a whore or something...it always hurt. But try not to mind it. I´m satisfied with myself and thats all what counts.

And about the best one...It´s always nice when a non-goth likes my style. Some of older ladies (for example my grandmother´s friends) did tell me, that I look very nice. Once even a lady in a charity shop..she asked me about my opinion at one skirt that she wanted to buy and told me, that I look really pretty.

I´m a girl on the first place, so I love compliments :D

I once had a white ripped nylons on black pantyhose (winter time :D...and it looked like spider web) and one of my classmates told me, that she really likes it. She´s not into alternative styles, more that type of - always fashionable chick, so it surprised me. And it was nice.

Day 9 – What genre of music do you dislike?

Hmmm...hard to say. I´m not really into hip-hop/rap...there are just a few of them, that I like...Eminem, Fettes Brott...and some songs like All 4 One from Kool Savas & Azad.

I don´t like hip-hop song, that have stupid ...or better said - empty lyrics.

And slovak folksongs (or how to say it...)...nooooo....I can´t hear it :D

But...in many genres I can find at least  one band or song that I like, so except the slovak folksong, I don´t REALLY dislike some music genre.

The Goth Challenge! Days 6 and 7

Day 6 – Hand write your favourite lyric and take a picture.

Oh...i don´t have my camera now, so I will add this later. But it´s hard to choose. I have so many favourite lyrics and songs.
But...the one, that I remember always is Silent Hedges from Bauhaus.

Only ten? :D I could write down at least four-page list of my favourite bands :D  But ok. Here are ten of my favourite goth bands:

The Goth Challenge! Day 5 - Local bands

So, I will continue now with the challenge :D
I was somehow busy these days and I had a shooting yesterday, so I´m happy :D

Is there a local Goth band or group in your area?
A band? Not really. I mean, not around where I live.
But there are some great bands in Slovakia.
I should mention The Last Days of Jesus. They are our pride :D They played at WGT, too. 

Then Hysteric Helen is a great band. I love their music. 

And Ľahká Múza has an very interesting sound.

Then maybe The Stranger´s Diary and Street Spirit are good bands, too.

And there are more industrial bands, but that´s not really what I listen to :D

The Goth Challenge! Day 4 - Clichés and Stereotypes?

Name a stereotype or cliche you can relate to.

Clichés and Stereotypes?
I don´t thinks there´s something wrong with them, if you really like them (and not doing them just because they´re "soooo goth")

* Cemeteries...I love them. It´s a nice quiet place, where the only who´s going to disturb you is an old lady or a ghost. I used to go to our Rozalia cemetery, when I wanted to be alone.

* Vampires...I don´t think, that I´m one (but i wouldn´t mind to be :D But then..how the hell whould I aply make-up and take photos? :D ), but I love books, movies and mangas about vampires (but I don´t like Twilight....sparkling vampires are not really what I consider A vampire)

* No sports...I always used to make up excuses so I didn´t have to participate on P.E. lessons. And I didn´t even have to in the last two years of high school, because I had an excuse from doctor :D
I actually like to move, but just alone. I don´t like group sports and I hate to exercise when I´m not in a right mood.  :D

* "Dark" poetry and stories...I love reading, especially Poe, Baudelaire, Hawthorne, Lovecraft and so...And I too used to write some poems...usually when I was in a bad mood, so they are really depressing...and most of my short stories too. I wrote maybe just 3 with a happy ending :D

* Black...I love black. I mostly dress in black and I think, that it looks good on me. 
I used to wear only black at the begining but now I sometimes combine with other colors, mostly with red or gray.
I wanted to have black walls (and I was jealous of my cousin...she had black walls in her room :D ), but we have just a little space there and black or another color would make the whole room opticaly even smaller .

* Skulls...Maybe bit kitschy, but I like skulls.
I latelly bought two pairs of knee-socks with skulls, I have a winged skull pendant, and two little sculptures of skulls, one with a snake  crawling out of it´s eye hole. They are only from gypsum, but I like them.

* Bats...I love them. I want to have a bat pet :D I used to go outside and watch them. I have a collar with a bat pendant and a plush bat named Zero (yeah, I´m a Vampire Knight fan :D ) [link] (I found him in a charity shop. I just added him a collar :D )
