Photos: Nature Part 1

I love taking photos, even with my old 5,0 Mpx kompact camera buddy :)
Maybe I´m not that good, but who cares? It´s my hobby, I can relax and I have my memories in a picture. And it makes me happy, and that´s enough for me.

The first theme is Nature.
I like taking photos of flowers the most. I love flowers, they are so beautiful and full of colors (I love colors, even when I mostly go out in black, sometimes combined with red :D I love seeing colors, not wearing them :D ).
So, here are some that I think are the best.
You can find all of my photos here)

(From newest to oldest)

I would say...This is my favourite photo. I just love how it came out.

I thought my hands would fall off..it took me so long taking this photo :D
I love this photo, maybe because the fog is covering the whole city :D
To me it somehow looks like from a fairy tale :D

Playlist 0.01

I have some troube with translating articles that I wanted to add here...Sorry, but..english sucks :D I like listening to people speaking (or singing) in english (the british english is amazing...), and I even like to read in english (I read manga only in english..the slovak or czech translations are mostly..miserable :D ), but I hate it, when I have to speak or write in english, even through I was one of the best in my class (and I was THE best in german :D ).
But...learning language in the school is something...not very useful. When I first had to talk to a complete stranger, who didn´t speak slovak, I realized, that I almost know nothing...I understood him, but didn´t know to answer, or to say what I wanted (somehow troublesome, because he was a photographer and we were heading to a photoshooting :D ).

But that´s not what I wanted.. :D
Here are some songs, that I listen to, these days...Not all of them are goth :p

I absolutely LOVE this melody...and some other from Tamusic too...

Kanon Wakeshima is one of my favourite Japanese artists...
the other is Kalafina:

And one video from anime Nodame Cantabile...I don´t really like the story, but I love the music...Classical music is really beautifull.

The Goth Challenge! Day 2 - BabyBat time

So, here´s the second day of The Goth Challenge by Juliet´s Lace:
"Share photos and experiences from your Baby Bat days."

I remember, that at second year at the school (so at age of 16) I finally started to wear more what I liked (not all, but I could at least go out in black :D I was so happy :D ).
At first just black pants or jeans  with chains (I had my keys on the chain, so it was even practical, because I always forgot them somewhere :D ) and black T-shirts. Most of my classmates thought that I doing it because of my punk friend in the class (they spreaded gossips that we are a couple and so...we were not...just friends...but he was kind of cute :D ).
I remember going through the "darkest" phase (before babybat I would say :D )with my friend...we sit in her room and where looking for dark pictures...and listening to music...that time it was mostly Snovonne and Qntal...and metal :D
Some of my classmates asked me, if I am a witch or a satanist (I brought a book to the school that I wanted to read to the end before I go after school to library...it was called Witches, Brides of Satan..or something like that, so they didn´t really believed me, when I said no :D ).
Many called me emo (I smiled when it came from friends, because I knew, it´s just for fun...but I don´t like being called emo by other people, who even call emo a person in long skirt, bat choker, and a corset-like top...).
Sometimes some boys shouted on me (mostly thinkgs like " death metaaaaaaaal", or punk, or emo...)
There was a boy in our school that really feared me. He was a friend of one of my classmates and friends, so she told him, that I really am a nice person (I wished that times, that she would do better, if she didn´t told him...really..he was such an ass...and so rude... :D).
I had of course people staring at me on the street. I was really nervous and unsure at the begining. And so paranoid...I always thought, that whoever laught, he laught over me. Hard times :D :D
But I hadn´t really bad experiences, I didn´t have problems with friends (most of my friends like my style and I always hear some compliments from them ), and I even didn´t have problems in school (I mean...with my image...:D ), so I should consider myself as lucky :D
Most of my babybat phase, I searched for my style... And took photos... :D

Me..with brown hair at the ZOO. I was climbing on the tiger´s cage :D
:D I´m so eeeeviiiiil :D  Lol :D
I´m so daaaark...gosh...what was I thinking that time? :D
Yeah..fake black "lipstick". lol :D
The cemetery photos :D And a long skirt with fake converse :D
Samara :D :D
I really liked this one :D That time, this was my best photo :D
Me with my two "daughters". RPG time was so much fun. I miss it :)
Me at school :D I think...this was maybe a thirs year or so.

I sadly don´t really have other photos than "selfportraits" from my early phase. Even the school photos...I was always hiding in the back :D
I had some photos from trip in Geravy, but I can´t find the CD...

The Goth Challenge! Day 1 - Becoming goth

Saturday I was thinking about some article, and I thought, that I could share my path to goth subcultre.
And this morning I saw by Juliet's Lace The goth challenge. And the first on the list is:
"How did you come across the subculture?"
(Coincidence? :D)
That sounds interesting, so...why not join?
_________________________

It´s been now about 3 years that I really consider myself as a goth.
But when I first heard (better said read) the word gothic, I was about 12 or 13.

Non-goth years
I was a strange kid from my early years...I didn´t have friends and was always playing alone in the corner. And I never liked those group activities.
I was a loner (and I still am).
Not long ago I found some of my old dolls.
I dyied my "Barbie" (a fake one) the hair black (with water-colours :D :D ). And on my big baby doll I drew many  funny "tattooes" like a cross, snake and so. I even painted her nails, lids and lips black (with marker pen)...Funny isn´t it? :D
I even have some interesting peple in my family: my brother is a hardcore, punk and metal fan, my boy-cousin is skinhead, my girl-cousin is metalhead and some of my other cousins like darker music too...I even heard that my father was always wearing black.
And still I never said that I was "born goth", or that I have the "correct genes" to become goth.
I believe, that we are born as tabula rasa, maybe with some predispositions in temperament and character, but we are, what we grow up to be.

The dark beginning
I was 13. I read some of the few blogs we had at that time.
Misunderstood, loner, interest in magic, darkness and bloody pictures, metal, black clothing...
That was mostly the characteristic of a "goth" on various blogs.
I was a depressed teenaager (I gone through a real depression, so I still can´t understand some of those dark kids who always said that depression for them is something like a bliss, that most of the "art" they made in depression...because...I was so happy when I made it on the surface from that deep dark abyss, and was so scared...I never want to go back...), without friends. I loved dark-art and morbid-art, and I always liked black (but my mother never wanted to buy me black clothing). My brother opened me the door to metal music and supernatural themes sounded always interesting to me.
That´s why I thougt: "thats finally something for me!"
Of course I didn´t believe everything, even when I was quite naive...I never believed that  depression and especially self-harming are part of being a goth.
For me, it was the dark, the black and the metal, in those days.

Becoming a Baby-bat
But, there were some people who said, that it wasn´t really true. They said something about some "Sisters" and some "House".
I was a very curious kid, so I tried to look what´s true on their words.
This time I tried it at german and english sites, like goth.net, gothic.net, gothicinfo.de or even wikipedia. I even contacted some older goths (through myspace or vampirefreaks).
And really...
When I first heard the "goth hymn" Bela Lugosi´s Dead...I din´t like it. I was used to metal music, and that was just something absolutely different.
But when I catched myself singing "Undead undead undead..." over and over again, I took another try. And this time I saw the music in other light.
So I started looking for similar bands (and I discovered that some "sisters" are Sisters od Mercy, and it´s not a family band created by sisters :D I liked female voices more that time, so I was a little bit disappointed :D ).
I also learned, that most of the goth myths are simply an individual choice, and some of them are totally a lie.

I started to wear black clothing when I was around 16 (and my mother finally gave up - she couldn´t forbid ME wearing what I like, when my brother had a mohawk and piercings, right? :D...and she was still thinking, that i grow up someday :D )
I was still searching, becoming more and more in love with goth music and all that the subculture had to give.
I slowly started experimentig with my outfits a little (the older I get the more dare :D
in age of 17, I din´t dare to wear ripped stocking in public...But now I don´t give a damn what people, or my friends and family, are thinking.)
When I was 17 I started my blog (in slovak), trying to share my acquired knowledge to help other finding the "right path".
But bloginng helped me a lot too. I found friends with the same interests and opinions.
I came in contact with other goths, and I really helped some of my readers with discovering a great music and great subculture (what gives me a great feeling).
I´m so eeeeeviiiiil :D loooool :D :D

Goth style=Expensive?!

I have grow tired of hearing (or reading :D) things like:
" I would like to be goth but it´s too expensive."

First of all, goth is not just about fashion. It´s sad, that many people think so, and think, that because they have enough money and can buy a brand goth clothing, they are "oh soooo goth and spooky. "
(and I don´t like people who think, that to look goth they just need to wear everything black...).

I don´t come from a rich family, my mother tries to spare money where she can.
I never had brand clothing from expensive shops, and I don´t even like to go to shops like that.
All my clothes are from second hand shops or Vietnam shops.
And still I think, that my look can compete to looks of those, who can spend their money for brand clothes.

To be honest, for me, goth is someone, who can be creative. Shopping just in goth shops is...how to say it...hmm...not very original, I think.
As my friend once said: I was on a party...and about five girls had the same skirt, and some had the same shirt..."
I don´t like people wearing the same as me.

There are two grat ways of creating a great outfit that won´t be expensive.
- Charity shops are a blessing. When you´re lucky, you can find amazing pieces, that others don´t have. or even brand clothes (I foud a Tripp skirt for just 3 €). And that very cheap od course.
The negative site is, that the have mostly just one piece from everything, and when it´s just too small, it can´t be helped (i have this problem with chinese clothes...I love that style, but I always find just things, that are too small..it sometimes pisses me off :D ).

- DIY - Do it yourself is a good way to make you an original and cheap outfit. When you´re skilled enough (or have someone, who can good sew), you can sew your own clothes.
When you´re not that skilled, you can always go and decorate some second-hand clothes - even a small edit can make your clothing look  different.

So, for example, some of my decorated clothes:

My favourite shirt. I just sewed some stripes with..ehm.. (gosh...how are those shiny little round thing called? :D)

My first decorated shirt. I added a chain and a cross.

It was an old watch strap. I added spikes and chain.

Bleach can be a great helper too :D

And this was a boring roll-coller, but my mother added a fishnet sleeves.

And now, some of my second hand treasures:

To say the truth..i love thinking about new outfits, and I love going to charity shops, looking for some new great pieces.
Funny, because on elementary school I didn´t give a damn about how I look (I was sometimes even wearing my brothers clothes :D ).
Even when fashion isn´t for me on on the firts place in gothic, I still can´t imagine myself without "gothing up" I feel like myself..at last :)

Long long ago...

It really seem so long ago, that I was writing something here.
The last post wasn´t very optimistic, but I have to say...I somehow managed to make it.
I too don´t relly understand how could it happen. I was ready to repeat the first year (again), by friend lent me even the money.
It was just a coincidence (ok, I don´t really believe in that...I think, I was more like a fate, or something...I just don´t think that coincidence exists :D ).
I was filling the application in my friends house, and somehow the discussion came around credits. I was curious, where can I check how many I have (I was always counting them), so she told me...and...
There was written: 41!
I needed 40 to get in the next semester, but I never did find more than 38.
So...I could give back the money and return to normal life without stress (gosh I was about collapsing...I´m really lucky, that I have such great friends...Without them, I don´t know what would I do. So..thank you very very very much :) :)

I have to confess: I almost forgot that I have this blog (maybe because all that stress), but thanks to The Green Fairy and her comment, I´m here again, and this time I´m going to add more than just photos :D

To be host, maybe it wasn´t just because of stress. Actually, I wasn´t really blogging on my slovak blog either. I made me a new blog, just for my manga drawings and for the manga I´m currently working on, and I spent the most of time there.
I draw many new pictures and I think I´m getting better and better. if you want to see, you can check out my DA account here.

But from all my new works, I like this the best, even if it´s not a part of the story:

I have have plenty of new photos, but I think, I like this the most (from Martin Hronsky...a hobby photographer and now even a friend. :D)
